Dear MR scientists

The 12th National MR Meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 10th and Wednesday the 11th, 2012 at the Radisson Blu in Nydalen in Oslo.

We intend to continue the successful integration of animal and clinical MRI and MRS science from the 11th National NMR meeting together with the NMR science in biochemistry, organic chemistry and many other fields.

The following sessions are planned:

Each of these sessions will start with a "teaching" lecture. Since MR research is broad and many of us do not know too much about our colleagues' work this can be a way of inspiring and strengthening collaboration.

In the early evening of January 10th you will also have the opportunity to visit MR labs at the Oslo University Hospital (Ullevål Hospital and Rikshospitalet), the SINTEF solid state NMR laboratory as well as the University of Oslo NMR Center at Blindern.

The conference dinner is sponsored by Bruker Biospin AB and wine will be covered by Agilent Technologies. The dinner will be arranged on the evening of Tuesday January 10th after the lab visits.

The daily fee for attending the MR 2012 meeting is NOK 605 for members of the Norwegian Society for Magnetic Resonance (NSMR). This daily fee includes two coffee breaks, one of them with some food, and a great lunch. Non-members will be charged an attendance fee of 750 NOK per day. Corporate members enjoy free attendance for one person.

Please note that the regular registration deadline has now passed, but that we are accepting late registrations up to 12:00 noon, Monday, Dec 5th, 2011. The late registration fee is NOK 1500 per day.

Finally, the MR 2012 meeting will be preceeded by the Bruker Biospin NMR user meeting on Monday, January 9th and possibly other vendor meetings. Furthermore the Organic Chemistry Winter Meeting will be held right after our meeting on January 12th to the 15th, and the 48th NBS Contact Meeting at Storefjell will follow from January 19th to 22nd.

See you in January 2012!
